Things are getting interesting where Suunto – and a Suunto Spartan 2 – is concerned…

Suunto Spartan 2.0 Software

First off, a new update of the Spartan software is being rolled out these days – an update to version 2.0. (It has been rolling out since May 21, 2018 – or actually, there was an issue when it started to go live the week before, so it was pushed back a bit.

Suunto Spartan (Software) Update 2.0.40

Yes, I had already had software 2.0.34 (in which a bug was found, hence there was a delay and the update to 2.0.40)

It does change a few things.

That makes it time I finally got to a review and how-to videos and manuals here on TimeandTours! We’ll have a look through all the operation and functions, see more on how, and how well, it all works.

If you have any particular questions or things you’d like me to get to asap, let me know in comments!

(My focus will be on the Spartan Ultra and Spartan Sport WHR Baro. There is already quite a bit about the Suunto 3 Fitness on this site…)

Suunto Spartan 2?

Not only that.

Suunto has also begun to show hints of something new.

Some of their athlete ambassadors have shown a “Product Sample” (okay, a box marked with those words) and added a new “Suunto Spartan Ultra” to their Movescount profiles…
